This is a lifesteal style Minecraft server where PvP actually matters. You gain hearts when you kill other players and you lose hearts when you die. If you lose all your hearts you get banned so every fight is a big deal.
There is a one hour grace period for new players so you do not lose hearts right away. It gives you some time to get gear and learn the server before things get super serious.
The server has simple teleport commands like sethome home tpa and tpaccept so you can move around and play with friends easily. There is a plugin that stops people from using commands in combat and it punishes combat logging by spawning an npc that can still be killed and drops your stuff.
There are protections against crazy speed cheats and against really bad chat spam so things stay somewhat fair. This is a vanilla survival server that tries to feel like classic Minecraft. It runs on Minecraft 1.4 and everything moves a bit slower so you actually have to work for your progress.
