So this server is called Raid SMP and it is kinda like a mix of peaceful and chaos. There is this main Safe Zone island where you can chill and not worry at all. No pvp no griefing no stealing there. People build bases and trade and do community stuff and the island actually grows as more players join. Farms are allowed but they are limited because the island is supposed to be a hub not a giant afk farm place.
Outside that Safe Zone it turns into the Danger Zone. Out there it is basically no rules except no cheating. Pvp is on and griefing and stealing and traps are all allowed. If you die out there it is totally your fault and no one is going to save your stuff.
The server runs on Java 1.21.11 and it has some quality of life plugins. There are custom structures that still feel vanilla but they make exploring more fun. The world border is 50k and it will get bigger as the server grows. The Nether is opening soon and the End is locked until a special event.
They want about 10 to 20 active players. After that it will turn into whitelist with applications so it feels more long term. The server is meant to be for the players with suggestions getting reviewed and updates happening a lot and even cracked clients are supported. There are also paid competitions and events so there is always something going on.

CaveMC Season 2 is a semi anarchy survival server where the whole overworld is underground. There is no surface at all. Everything is caves and tunnels with custom world generation made by real Minecraft developers.
When I joined it felt really intense because survival is brutal and you have to be smart to live. The underground world still has biomes resources and structures but it all feels squeezed together in one huge cave only universe.
The server is enhanced vanilla so it still feels like normal Minecraft but with way more challenge. Players can fight or just try to survive and explore but there are not many protections so you have to watch your back.
There is also a new thing called the Wasteland Dimension. It is a big custom dimension with its own map mega structures and mysteries to explore. In there you can find brand new powerful gear and a unique currency that creates a new player economy and trade.
Season 2 also has a new spawn that matches the Wasteland theme and sets up the fresh start for everyone. If you like tough survival underground bases and risky adventures this server is made for that.

FallenRealms is a survival economy server that was private for a long time and now it is finally open. It is made for players who want a long term world and a strong money system instead of a quick throwaway map.
The main idea is a player driven economy. There is an admin shop to keep prices stable but most trading is between players. You can make chest shops and also use an auction house to sell rare items fast. There is a custom fishing system that has unique rewards and it is not just normal fishing with better loot tables.
You can claim land and protect towns and bases. Claims can get really big so groups can plan future builds and expansions. There is automation but it is balanced. Chunk hoppers pick up items in a chunk and sell chests can auto sell stuff you farm. These are meant to save time without breaking the economy.
Ranks are earned by playing. You rank up with money and playtime and every rank can be unlocked without paying real money. Donator ranks only give access to ranks you can already earn so it does not turn into pay to win.
The server is 18 plus so the community is more relaxed and mature. It is a brand new public launch so there are no huge rich players yet and people can grow together. The server runs on Minecraft 1.21.10.

EtherealSMP is a small vanilla style survival server that was just started by two friends.
The world is mostly pure vanilla and the only extra thing is lifesteal. The owners are not even sure if lifesteal will stay and they want the players to help decide. The idea is that the community gets to shape how the server works as more people join.
Right now it is a tiny server with only a few players so new people actually matter and can give real feedback. They are looking for anyone who wants to play survival and hang out so it is not just an empty world.
The owners are open to suggestions and want to hear what people like and what they can do better. If you want to be part of a new community from the very beginning this server is trying to be that.

This server is called Minecraft at War WW3 and it is all about modern warfare in Minecraft. The owner made a custom modpack so the game feels like a big war.
As the server goes on more stuff gets added. There will be helicopters tanks fighter jets and other modern weapons. It is not just building it is about fighting or making peace.
The staff team is looking for players who want to join and pick a path. You can cause chaos and destruction or you can try to be peaceful and get into politics. It is up to each player how the world turns out.
From what I can tell the server wants people who like big wars and also people who like planning and making deals. There are no extra rules written here but you still need to respect the staff and other players.
If you want to try a Minecraft world that feels like a modern war and you want to choose your own path this server looks pretty cool.
