The 100 (pronounced The Hundred [1]) is an American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama developed for The CW by Jason Rothenberg, and is loosely based on the novel series of the same name by Kass Morgan. The series follows a group of survivors who return to Earth, ninety-seven years after a nuclear apocalypse left the planet uninhabitable. Soon, they come across the various settlements of other survivors that survived the disaster, including the Grounders, the Reapers, and the Mountain Men.
The series stars Eliza Taylor as Clarke Griffin, as well as Paige Turco, Thomas McDonell, Eli Goree, Marie Avgeropoulos, Bob Morley, Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Isaiah Washington, and Henry Ian Cusick. Lindsey Morgan and Ricky Whittle, who recurred in the first season, joined the main cast for the second season. Richard Harmon was promoted to the main cast in the third season, after recurring in the first and second seasons. Zach McGowan, who recurred in the third, was promoted to the main cast for the fourth season. Tasya Teles was promoted to the main cast in the series’ fifth season, after appearing as a guest in the second and third seasons, and recurring in the fourth. Shannon Kook joined the main cast in the sixth season, after a guest appearance in the fifth. JR Bourne and Chuku Modu, who recurred in the sixth season, were promoted to the main cast in the seventh season, whilst Shelby Flannery had a guest appearance in the
