Turnabout is a semi vanilla survival server that is made for adult players who want to play Minecraft together and actually get to know people. It is a whitelisted Java server and it is in the second season right now with a fresh world that is only about one month old.
The main focus here is the community. There are lots of friendly players from different parts of the world so you almost always find someone online to play or chat with. The server is also very inclusive and it is clearly made to be safe for LGBTQ+ players and allies with zero tolerance for hate.
There are regular events that help everyone get involved. Stuff like hide and seek building competitions and some light roleplay happen to keep things interesting and make it easier to meet new people.

SFTV Earth 2 is a Minecraft server that tries to feel like a real world map with towns and nations. It uses Towny so players can make their own towns start cultures form nations and shape history over time.
The server is all about geopolitics and big stories. Players can rise up as rulers or just be important citizens who help build something that lasts. There is a lot of open land so new people still have space to start fresh towns or even try to make an empire.
The server has already been running for a couple weeks and it sounds like they had some ups and downs but overall things have gone really well. People are building all over the world and there are screenshots showing cool places and builds.

This is a factions server that tries really hard to feel like the old school days but on a newer Minecraft version. It uses 1.8 style combat and pot pvp so fights are fast and based on skill not on crazy custom enchants.
The server just wiped so everyone is starting fresh. It is built for people who like real cannoning real raids and fair pvp. There are custom dungeons with unique loot and ranked duels with an elo system if you like to prove you are better in one versus one.
There are KoTH events twice every day and a sign shop for buying normal items in game. The ranks are cheap but not super overpowered and the server is not pay to win so money does not decide who is best.
The staff team is active and mature and they say they listen to players. The economy is meant to be balanced and raiding is supposed to be fair. It is a good place if you want competitive factions and also want your ideas to matter.
