Krakencraft is a modded server built around MC Eternal 2 where tech and magic feel super big and crazy. It is made for long term play so you can slowly build up huge bases and not lose your stuff.
There is a questbook that guides you through the giant modpack so you always have goals and you earn loot crates when you hit milestones. It makes progression feel smooth and not confusing.
If you like machines you can go hard on automation with things like ore doubling and digital storage so your base turns into a big tech factory. If you like magic you can focus on legendary gear and tools that get stronger as you use them.
The server uses land claiming so you can protect your builds with chunks instead of weird items. There are also teams so you can share quests and rewards with friends and work through the modpack together.
New players start with basic gear like a sleeping bag food and a boat so the first night is not painful. There is also a live 3D map so you can see the world in your browser and plan builds or find friends.

This is a really simple and chill survival server that feels like old school Minecraft. It is a classic SMP with no crazy gimmicks and no over the top plugins. You just join survive and build with other people.
The server is all about a friendly community where players like to explore and be creative together. It feels relaxed and not super sweaty so it is easy to fit in if you are new or if you have played for years.
There is optional proximity chat so you can talk to players who are close to you in game if you want more immersion. You do not have to use it if you do not like voice chat.

Apathesia is a modded Minecraft server that is about being chill and friendly. The server is around two months old and already has a small group of regular players who like to hang out and play together.
The mods focus on better world generation and some quality of life stuff. There is also proximity voice chat so talking in game feels more natural. The cool thing is the mods are server side only so you do not need to download any big modpack to join. You only need a voice chat mod if you want to use voice and that is not required to play.
The server is not cracked and has no mtx no gambling no crates and none of that annoying pay to win stuff. The owner says they try not to over moderate and just keep the vibe relaxed and chill.
