Terralith is applied to world generation. You can build once you claim a spot. Claim a spot with a crafting table, bed or campfire. Simply highlight it with your cross hair while crouching. Your blocks gain protection in a claimed area, however… If you die, other players will be able to destroy your blocks for about 10 minutes.
