This server is called Raidsteal SMP and it is all about crazy raids. There is a custom datapack that makes raiding the main mechanic. Every 30 minutes a random player or team gets chosen to be raided and then everyone else can attack them.
During a raid people can break into your base and fight you with special items and weapons. When the raid ends all the block damage gets fixed so your base is not totally ruined. But any items that got stolen or destroyed are gone for good so every raid actually matters.
Outside of raids you can claim land so it stays safe. Claimed land cannot be damaged unless a raid is happening. You can invite friends into your team so they can build and defend with you. Team members can teleport back to their base when no enemies are close and you can also allow other groups to teleport to your base if you want.
There are many different trident and arrow types to change how fights work. Fire is way more scary because anything that is on fire will spread flames around it until it cools off and flaming arrows spread fire too. Armor also makes you sink in water so people can build cool moats and traps around their bases.
The server runs on Minecraft version 1.21.11 Java and there is no whitelist or application so anyone can join. The owner also allows people to make content on the server.

EchelonMC is a custom survival SMP that tries to not feel like every other server. It runs on modern versions and it is built with its own plugins instead of copy paste packs.
The main idea is simple survival but with extra systems. There is a custom currency you earn just by playing and you can spend it on progression and utilities. You can claim land with visual borders and set per chunk options like mob rules and protection against grief and TNT and fire and fluids.
You can also make public chunks where other players can visit your builds. Visitors help you earn and you can try to climb rankings with your creations. There are teams so you can invite friends and get team nametags and shared utilities.
Movement has a twist too. As you walk you can create paths under you and you get extra speed when using paths and you can toggle this. When you die you get a timed grave that holds your items and there is a back command to help after teleports.
The server has voting rewards plus Discord link features like chat bridge. There is a custom spawn hub with NPCs and different utilities and there are anti x ray protections. The server says it is not pay to win and has active development and patches and wants to evolve with player feedback.

This is a small All The Mods 9 server that is meant to stay up for around three months or maybe longer. It is for people who like big modpacks with tech and magic and lots of stuff to do.
Some of the mods in the pack are Create Ad Astra Applied Energistics 2 Mekanism Mahou Tsukai and Blood Magic. So you can build machines do magic go to space and make crazy bases.
The server has land claims so other players should not be able to wreck your base. That helps stop most griefing so you can just build and chill without stressing about it.
There is also a tutorial that shows how to set up the mods so even if you never played modded before you can learn how to join. The server is not cracked and the owner will not help people who pirate the game.
It feels like a place for players who want to try a big modpack together and stay for a whole season instead of just a few days.

This server is called Distant Lands and it is actually kind of scary in a cool way. When you join you do not spawn in some big hub or starter town. There is no safe market or public farm. You just get thrown out into the world totally alone.
The world uses a huge random spawn so every player starts really far apart. It feels like you are the first person to ever step there. There is no easy path or guide. You just walk and try not to die.
The server is vanilla plus so it keeps the normal Minecraft feeling. It has some small quality stuff and better stability but it still feels like classic survival.
Pvp is on and that is a big deal here. Raiding and stealing are allowed and are part of how the world works. There is something called the anarchy clause which basically means you are not protected. If someone finds your base they can fight you and take your stuff.
You have to be super careful with your coordinates. If you share your location it can be the biggest mistake. Friends can turn on you and people you trust can raid you. The server really makes trust feel risky.
If you like starting with nothing and building your own story this place fits that. You can end up as a legend a rumor or just disappear into the world like a ghost. The map is waiting for whoever is brave enough to build on it.

Createverse SMP is a modded Java server that is all about the Create mod and a calm survival world. When I joined it felt like a fresh start because the world is still new and there is not a lot of progress yet.
The world has totally changed terrain in all three dimensions. There are tons of new vanilla style biomes and structures that you can explore. There are also a bunch of Create addons and some extra mods that make machines and adventure feel way more fun.
The server is semi building focused so griefing is not allowed. PvP is only allowed when both players agree so it stays fair and chill. It feels like the server is made for people who want a relaxing but adventurous playthrough where you decide what to do next.
There are useful tools like a minimap and a world map to help you explore. You can use claims and parties to protect your stuff and play with friends. There are multiple performance mods so it runs better plus waystones for fast travel and voice chat to talk in game.
Right now the End is locked until more players join and progress but the owner says it will be worth the wait. Overall it feels like a calm create mod world where you can build explore and slowly shape a new world with other players.
