This server is called Sparked and it is a long term dedicated SMP. It is all about building and hanging out with people in a mature adult environment. The players all come from different backgrounds but they play kind of like Hermitcraft while still trying to stay original.
When you join it feels very vanilla and very simple on purpose. There are no giant walls of text and no constant pop up messages. There are no warps and no land claims and only a few quality of life changes. It really feels like you just joined a world that a friend started for fun.
The admins stay involved with the community and they work to keep the server running well. The server is trust based but there are mods in the background that can protect builds if something bad happens. The owners also try to be transparent about server costs server specs and bans.
They use some Vanilla Tweaks style datapacks like more mob heads armor stands stuff proximity voice, a map tool and player heads. The whole thing is focused on a relaxed mature social SMP where you can build and play for a long time.
This is a semi vanilla SMP called Outcrafted that is starting its Season 3. The new season starts on Friday the 16th and they want around 50 to 100 active players.
The server is survival but with a few extra features that make it feel different than normal vanilla. It has Simple Voice Chat so people can talk in game while they play together. There is a plugin called Dungeons and Taverns that adds custom structures so exploring the world feels more exciting. Kindred Vale is a survival server that feels really safe and relaxed. It is made for Java players who want no griefing and just want to build and explore without worrying that someone will wreck their stuff.
Right now it is Season 2 and it started on January 1 2026 so the world feels pretty fresh. The server does a reset every three months so there is always a new adventure and new places to build.
There are cool skills you can level like mining and defense and when your skills get stronger the mobs get tougher too so it stays exciting. You can also disenchant items using an anvil and books so you can reuse enchantments how you want.
