This server is called CinderCivs and it is a vanilla plus geopolitical roleplay world. It has been running for over two years without a reset so everything players build and every war or treaty actually stays and matters.
The world has a special map with a big claimable area that will not reset. Outside that there is a larger map that gets reset on big updates so people can explore and mine new stuff. There is a one to one nether and there are faster railways and pathways plus some custom crafting that helps builders.
Elytra are banned so players make real infrastructure like roads and rail lines instead of just flying over everything. There is also a plugin made for roleplay so nations and characters feel more official.
Players form nations that can go to war make alliances trade and do diplomacy. Each nation has its own style of government and power structure so there are different ways to get influence. Some nations have been around since the start and still shape what new players see when they join.
The community likes long term worldbuilding and creative projects. People write lore draw art make maps and flags and keep building on the same world for years. If you want a serious but friendly roleplay server where your actions can change the world this is what the server is about.

I found this server called Aetheria and it is a brand new FFA PvP world. It is already pretty chaotic and everyone is fighting all the time.
The server is looking for staff to help keep the fights fair and the chat not totally awful. They want people who are active and chill and can tell the difference between real skill and hacking. They also really do not want staff who abuse powers for free loot.

This is a Java SMP that feels really cozy and friendly. It is based in the UK and it is mostly vanilla with small quality of life tweaks that make building a lot nicer.

SnowFallSMP is a small semi vanilla Java SMP for players who just want to chill and play Minecraft together. It feels like a cozy world where people slowly build up cool stuff and hang out.
