Welcome to the Abstract SMP ! Let me tell you a bit about us and how we’ve become the server we are today! Back in June of 2023, the first owner, TheTerrorAxolotl founded the TA-SMP, the ancestor of the Abstract SMP. However it would not be long before someone else entered the scene. Another owner who goes by the name of Chair was invited to help run the TA-SMP with TheTerrorAxolotl. The TA-SMP slowly but surely grew, and it kept doing so until a downfall. You see the owners hadn’t planned ahead for the server which meant hackers and cheaters started joining. A few minor fixes were made but nothing was permanent. This is where someone who will remain unnamed committed multiple offences got banned. However, a trusted and valued staff member unbanned him and attempted to hide illegal items all over the server. However a plugin called Discord SRV allowed the owners to see what they were planning and banned them before anything else could happen. In early December of 2023, the TA-SMP were planning a Christmas event however no one came. So TheTerrorAxolotl decided to make a new server with every bit of information about running servers he had learnt from the TA-SMP. And low and behold, here we are now! Don’t forget to vote for us!

Pretty much the same as that nostalgic server everyone used to play on when they first started. Nothing too fancy, just some basic plugins to make everything run a bit smoother.

The goal of the server is just to keep it as a nice small community, and not turn into one of those giant multi-world multi-game mode servers.

The rules basically boil down to not being a bad person.

The server is actually hosted in New Zealand, while most “New Zealand” servers are hosted in Australia. There is also no whitelist and we’re open to anyone who wants to join!
