BinaryChaos SMP is a mature, hardcore difficulty Minecraft server which strives to encourage the vanilla Minecraft experience with a low fantasy, dark ages theme. The server is based on persistently changing anarchy, cloak and dagger politics, and rules or more appropriately “laws” controlled by the players within their proclaimed territories aside from the ground rules shown below.
We strongly encourage joining up with some veteran players upon first joining the server to get a feel for our play-style, we strongly encourage light medieval role-play in your build and play-style. When building, things that are useful and structurally sound and preferred with medieval theme, rather than 1×1 dirt spires and lava falls. In-game trade, kingdoms, economy, and towns are all encouraged.
This server utilizes very minimal protection against griefing and hackers, consequences are meant to be lasting and will shape the world map for years to come.
With the introduction of “chunk blending” in version 1.18 I am truly hopefully that we will never have to reset the world map in the foreseeable future. This server and new world map was officially started on August 6th, 2022.
