WhimsyWillow SMP is a small Minecraft server that feels like a chill community world. It is on Season 3 and this time the world is fully modded. All the mods were picked by the community so it feels like everyone helped shape the server.
There are over 100 biomes because of mods like Biomes O Plenty and Terratonic so exploring is a big deal here. You also find more ores so progression feels different with new tools and weapons to work toward. It makes mining and upgrading your gear a lot more fun.
Spawn is kept really nice and cared for and there is a shop district where players can make custom shops and sell whatever they want. The server owner and players always look for new event ideas so the world stays active and does not feel dead.
They really want suggestions and feedback so they can keep the server balanced fair and enjoyable for everyone. It is a whitelisted community but applying is easy and they are always happy to see new people join and hang out.

TerraCraft is a newer geopolitical Earth server where players build nations and fight over land. It is a towny style world so you can claim land and grow your own country with friends.
The server has no mods at all. It just uses plugins and resource packs so there is basically nothing to download. You can join fast and start playing right away without worrying about a big setup.
The staff run regular events to keep things active. Players can join in and be part of what is happening in the world instead of just grinding alone.
There is a custom bot that connects Minecraft chat to discord. People in discord can see when players join and see the chat so it feels like one big community.
The server runs on Minecraft Java 1.21 so if you are on that version and want a nation and land conquest type server this one fits really well.

L and M Industries is a small modded SMP that feels pretty calm and relaxed. It is all about tech and building cool bases.
The server runs big tech mods like Create Modern Industrialization ComputerCraft and AE2. All of them are set up to work together so you can build machines automate stuff and make crazy factories.
There are also lots of decoration mods. So you can make your base look really nice not just like a big metal box.
The community is small and friendly. People seem focused on keeping the game simple and fun instead of super sweaty or toxic.
They use Plasmo Voice Chat too. That makes it easier to talk and makes the world feel more alive when you run into other players.
They said they are launching Create version 6.0.8 for Fabric soon and the End is opening this weekend. So it feels like a server that is still growing and getting new stuff.

This is a lifesteal anarchy server where the world never resets and everything you do stays.
There are custom plugins that change the gameplay and make it feel different from normal vanilla.
The server runs version 1.21.11 and it is hosted in Finland so it feels good for European players.
The hardware is pretty strong with a XEON CPU fast NVMe SSDs and 64GB RAM so the server feels stable even when there is chaos everywhere.

This is a small modded Minecraft world run by a player who really just wants someone to play with.
They are using a CurseForge modpack code so you can join if you set that up. It feels like a chill place for someone who is having a hard time and just wants a friend to hang out with in game.
