Sunset Retreat SMP is a seasonal vanilla plus server that is made for players who are 18 or older. It is based in the EU and it is whitelisted so the community stays small and chill. The whole idea is to escape real life chaos and just relax while playing Minecraft.

From what I can see the owners are actually active and they play on the server too. They focus on really good quality of life extras. There is simple voice chat so talking is easier. There are mob and player heads for collecting. There is Bedrock compatibility so more people can join. There is also a map plugin called Pl3xMap so you can see the world.

The survival is vanilla style with a little twist from these small plugins. There is a diamond based economy where players run the shops. You can buy and sell items and services using diamonds so the market feels like it is run by the community.

Foggy Willows is a simple survival server that is all about real vanilla Minecraft. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no plugins and no datapacks so it feels like playing singleplayer but with other people around.

There is no fancy spawn and no long rules to read. You just join and start playing. You can build how you want and play how you want. Players are expected to handle their own social problems instead of staff fixing everything.

The server is always updated to the latest stable vanilla jar and it is self hosted on a machine that was built for running Minecraft. There are no donations and no world border. There is no tp and no sethome so travel is done the normal way. The game is set to hard mode.

Technical players are welcome here and anyone who likes the quirks and challenges of pure vanilla will probably enjoy it. It is a Java server and there is a Discord for the community.
