Welcome to the most epic Minecraft SMP you’ll ever experience! We may not have special powers, but we do have mechas! That’s right, giant robots roaming around the server causing chaos and destruction (in a fun way, of course).

But that’s not all – our server has a rich history of saving Earth not once, but twice! How, you ask? Well, let’s just say our players are so skilled and strategic that they were able to defeat alien invasions and natural disasters with ease. We’re basically the Avengers of Minecraft.

And let’s not forget about KINGta, the legendary player who single-handedly took down a horde of creepers with nothing but a wooden sword. He may not be the hero we wanted, but he’s definitely the hero we needed.

The Sandlot

The Sandlot has been serving the needs of parents and family members looking for a safe place for their children, friends, and relatives to play Minecraft since December 2011.

Run by a parent and former school teacher, The Sandlot aims to provide a safe environment for younger players, free from swearing, abusive language, and mature content that is often found on many Minecraft servers (and the internet in general).

We operate with a fairly strict chat filter, and have zero tolerance for any attempts to bypass it. Our server is white-listed, meaning that players must request access and be approved by our staff. We check every application against 4 Minecraft ban databases, and we do not accept any players with a history of abusive behavior of any kind.

Our server offers several game modes, including a Normal-difficulty Survival world that is 100% Legit (no spawned items, everything collected by players), an Easy-difficulty world with a Jobs system and Shopping Mall (great for our youngest players), a Creative world, and PvP in the form of arenas and “Hunger Games” style play.

We’re a friendly PvE survival server. As a community, we’ve been together now for over four years. We’ve built amazing structures together, designed colossal PVP arenas and used redstone to create the most amazing of games and mob arenas; and we’re still going with that blend of near-vanilla gameplay that’s kept our players coming back to us.

We’re running on our own private, dedicated server with 16GB RAM and a processor with 4 cores at 2.8 each, a 2 Terrabyte hard drive and 100mbps. We. Do. Not. Lag.

And what to we offer? Tweaked survival play: freebuild, hard mode, infinite world, mob numbers cranked up and with all the protections minecraft should have by default – both your chests and your land is protected and we can rollback damage caused by idiots in a few commands.

Halcyon was made with our favorite plugins and features in mind, blending them together to create a server that allows players to get the best out of their survival server experience. We added MCMMO to give players willing to put time into certain skills a leg up, sign shops to allow the economically minded to buy and sell items, easy rules acceptance to get you started right away and a large open world, viewable via our website’s livemap open for exploration.

Best of all, we’re not a g-rated server, so while staff will kick players for excessive swearing or caps to cool them off, you’re allowed to slip a few curse words in after that unfortunate creeper death, or enderman blooper like we’re all want to do.
