This is a semi vanilla survival server that feels pretty close to normal Minecraft but with a few changes to make it more fun. It is also kind of semi anarchy so you get a lot of freedom and the world is not getting reset all the time.
The server runs on hard difficulty so mobs actually hurt and you have to be careful. There is no artificial world border so you can explore really far and build bases wherever you want. The nether roof is allowed so travel can be super fast if you know what you are doing.
Sleeping is handled by a rule where only about a quarter of the players online need to sleep to skip the night. There is also a command to turn phantom spawning on or off if you want to deal with them or not. The respawn radius around spawn is bigger so people do not all appear in the exact same spot.
The rules are pretty simple. No hacks or exploits. No lag machines. No duping except for TNT carpet and rails which are allowed. Besides that players are mostly free to play how they want.
The server works for both Java and Bedrock players and it is recommended to use the latest version so you do not run into weird issues. It started in January 2026 and is meant to last for the long term so your builds should be safe from random resets.

This server is called Freelife SMP season 2 and it is basically an anarchy style survival world.
There is a world border that is 6k by 6k so everyone is kind of forced near each other. The whole goal is to kill the strongest player and keep fighting for power.
There is only one mace on the server. Whoever holds it gets a special description on it until they die so it is like a trophy everyone wants. You can make teams as big as you want and try to control the map.
They use some basic plugins like home and pickup and villager stuff but it still feels really chaotic and PvP based. It is all about battles and alliances and backstabbing in a small world.

ChillGrindSMP is a relaxed Java SMP that feels really cozy and simple. It runs on 1.20.10 and uses ViaVersion so people on almost any Java version can still join and play together.
The server is focused on survival where you grind and build at your own pace. There is a no griefing rule so your stuff is safe from trolls. If you die you get a gravestone so you do not instantly lose all your items which makes it way less stressful.

This is a small SMP that started as a world for some real life friends. They moved on to other games but the owner did not want to shut it down because the world means a lot.

This is a chill vanilla server that is made for adults only and has been running since 2023. They are starting Season 5 on January 24th 2026 so it is meant to last a long time not just a quick reset.
There are no teleports and no pay to win stuff and no cheating allowed. It is whitelisted and 18 plus so it stays safe and calm. The server is properly moderated so there is not a bunch of drama like on huge public servers.
