WhimsyWillow SMP is a small modded server that feels pretty cozy and community based. Season 3 is running right now and every mod on the server was picked by the community so it feels like everyone helped shape the world.
There are tons of new biomes to explore and a bunch of extra structures so wandering around is actually fun. Progression has more ores plus new tools and weapons so you do not just rush the same gear like every other world.
The server uses the Create mod so people can build all kinds of wild machines as long as they are reasonable. There is also a world map with Bluemap so you can see the whole world and plan where to go or where to build.
Spawn is kept pretty and clean and there is a shop district where players can set up custom shops and sell whatever they want. The community always asks for suggestions and tries to keep everything fair and balanced and fun for everyone.
They run events every now and then to keep things active and they are doing one right now. It is a whitelisted server but applying is made simple with a short application. Everyone is welcome if you want to hang out build explore and join a laid back modded SMP.

The vibe is family friendly with a clean chat and staff that keep it moderated. The rules focus on no griefing and no stealing so building feels safe. PvP is not the main focus and it feels more like a place to relax.
The world is meant to last for the long term with no planned resets. You can work on big builds farms and redstone projects without worrying your progress will get wiped.
There is land claiming for protection plus a player driven economy with shops and trading. Solace SMP is a survival and economy server for players who want stuff to do for more than one day. It is built for long term progress and for people who like playing around other players.
It supports Java and Bedrock crossplay so friends can play together. The server has jobs skills and quests so you can level up while you play and keep unlocking more.

Guilds are a huge deal here because every guild needs a leader and a guild town. These towns are meant to show off what your guild is about with stuff like player gyms a unique main attraction statues of your deities and guardians a train station a plaza shops and more.
