PlatonicMC is a cozy PvE survival server where everyone just wants to chill and build cool stuff. There is no PvP so you do not have to worry about other players killing you and you can focus on exploring and making your base.
The server has an economy with a shop where you can buy and sell items using in game money. You can set up your own player shops too so other people can buy from you. There are jobs like mining farming and fishing so you get paid for doing normal survival things.
There is mcMMO so your skills like mining and fishing level up over time. The server also has pets you can get from the store and fun tags you can use so your name looks more unique.
You can vote every day and get money diamonds and vote keys as rewards. There is a special mining world that works like a resource world plus a custom world with different terrain and a pre generated world to help reduce lag.
You can set up to 3 personal warps and use random teleport. Claims keep your builds safe so griefing is not allowed and there are graves so your stuff is saved when you die.
The server supports both Java and Bedrock with crossplay. There are daily and playtime rewards and the community feels friendly and relaxed. It is in beta right now so they are still growing and listening to feedback.

GabbanaCraft is a Minecraft server where the main focus is anarchy pvp and survival. It is made to work with all 1.xx.x versions so it is easy to join.
From what I can see the world is meant for players who like wild fights and risky survival. There is no hint of strict rules so it feels like you can pretty much do what you want and see what happens.
Right now the server is still growing. They plan to reveal the server ip when they hit 20 players. On December 17th there were 8 players already so it looks like a small but growing community.

This server is called CollideCraft Season 3 Time Zero and it feels like you crash into a broken Minecraft dimension. The world is unstable and space is tight and you can tell it is not a chill easy start. Resources are rare so you actually have to fight and grind to survive.
It is a semi vanilla SMP with some twists like lifesteal so every fight matters. There is one player sleep so nights do not last forever if someone is in a bed. Players can form factions and that makes alliances and rivalries a big deal.
The server has light lore so it feels like a story is going on under the surface but it does not force you to act. Survival is something you earn not something you just get for free. It looks like they are starting a new season soon and they want people to join early so they can lock in a whitelist spot.
If you like intense survival and factions and a world that feels broken and weird this server fits that vibe a lot.

Brassfin SMP is a modded survival server that is all about Create and a fantasy style world. It feels like a place where people who love machines and magic get together to mess around and build crazy stuff.

CaveMC Season 2 is a semi anarchy survival server where the whole overworld is underground. There is no real surface at all. Everything is caves with custom world generation made by actual Minecraft developers.
The world is full of underground biomes resources and structures. It still feels like vanilla but more intense and dangerous. Survival is really brutal so only smart and prepared players last for long.
The server is bringing in a new Wasteland Dimension. It is not just a biome. It is a big new place with its own custom generated map. There are huge mega structures to explore and they hide secrets and good loot.
In the Wasteland you can find new powerful gear that changes how you fight and survive. The Wasteland also uses its own special currency so there is a different economy for trading and player deals.
Season 2 also has a new spawn made for this underground and Wasteland style. Everyone gets a fresh start at the same time so it is a good chance to join now.
