    I found this hardcore social experiment server where you only get one life and then you are done. It runs on Java 1.21.1 and it also supports Bedrock so more people can join.

    The world is split into two islands and they feel totally different. One is a winter wasteland that is harsh but packed with rare minerals and resources. The other is a summer island that is easier to live on but it can get super overpopulated.

    Both sides share one global economy so the islands are still connected even if they are rivals. Simple Voice Chat is required for every interaction so you actually have to talk things out.

    The whole event is run in weekend sessions so more people end up online at the same time and the power struggle gets intense.

    Griefing is allowed and there are no land claims so you have to hide your stuff or defend it. The server says no hacks no dupes and no exploits so the chaos is still meant to be fair.

    Exploring is a big deal here with harder world stuff like Incendium Terralith Stellarity Dungeons and Taverns and a Warden dimension. There is also area chat which makes it feel more immersive.

    They do big updates every quarter and sometimes reset extra dimensions if people want that. Your Ender Chest is permanent and never wiped so you can keep important items safe long term.

    Worldbound SMP is a geopolitical survival server where the world is still pretty empty and the first nations are starting to pop up.

    Players make nations and build cities with capitals and borders. People team up with alliances and do diplomacy then sometimes it turns into wars that change the map.

    The server uses a satellite style world map so the continents and oceans feel more realistic. It is crossplay so Java and Bedrock players can join on 1.21.1+.

    If you join early you can end up as one of the big leaders as the world history gets written by the community.
