    The server plays on Hard difficulty and it has single player sleep so nights are not a big pain. There is also a live map so you can check out the world.

    The group sounds goofy and friendly and they care a lot about community and being inclusive for everyone. Voice chat is optional with Simple Voice Chat and you do not need extra mods just to join.

    It is whitelist only and they usually want players to be 18+ to apply. They also run a Cobblemon server and a semi vanilla SMP if you want other options.

    There are no protected land claims so trust and community matter a lot here. The rules are strict and the staff stays active and griefing stealing and harassment are not allowed. Fair play is enforced for everyone the same.

    Java and Bedrock players can play together. Proximity voice chat is optional and there are some free quality of life things like temporary graves that hold your items after death plus a few fun commands like sit spin and hat.

    I found a Vanilla plus survival server on 1.20.1 that is built around a really weird world border idea. The border starts at 500 by 500 and it grows every time someone new joins. That means the world slowly opens up and it feels like the server is unlocking itself.

    It also uses Origins so you can pick from custom origin choices. The owner is still taking suggestions too so it sounds like players can help shape what gets added.

    There is also a Lifesteal twist for PVP. If you kill another player they lose a heart and you gain that heart. If someone dies to the environment it does not take away hearts. The server is opening soon and joining early is supposed to give you a head start.
