Waychest is a Minecraft world that feels like lots of little worlds linked together. When you join you start your own Journey with your friends. It looks like you are alone on your own server but actually everyone is in the same huge survival world.
The server is PvE and semi vanilla. It uses the normal Java 1.21.11 client but has custom stuff built just for this place. The focus is on exploring and building and slowly finding out that other people have been here before you.
As you travel you find special chests called Waychests. They give rewards and also point you toward other Journeys and builds people left behind. Later you can make your own Waychests so new players can discover your base too.
There is a flying minigame where you craft an Elytra and then fly through rings in the world. If you do it right it leads you to a Waychest from another player. There are also warps you can use for fast travel but you have to discover each warp point first before you can use it.
Overall it feels like a mix of a public server and a private realm. You get space to play with just your group but you can still bump into other players or their stuff while exploring the same big world.

AnarchySMP is a newer anarchy survival server that has been around for about 7 months and it is all about pure chaos.
PvP is on and there are basically no rules so you can team up or betray people or wipe bases and grief anything you find. The world is not going to reset so long term bases and long grudges both matter.
It stays close to vanilla survival but it also has some extra stuff like TPA and homes. TPA cannot be used in the spawn area and both TPA and homes have cooldowns. Players start with up to 3 homes and ranks can add more.
There is no anti cheat so hacked clients are allowed. The server also runs on a new dedicated machine made to handle lots of players. LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server that is all about raw survival. It has no rules and no gameplay changing plugins. It also has no pay to win stuff and it is meant to feel like classic Minecraft where anything can happen.
The world is open and permanent with no resets. There are no land claims and no teleporting so you have to walk and survive for real. PvP is on and griefing and raiding are allowed so your base is never fully safe.
The server started in June 2025 so it is still early enough to make your mark. It runs on dedicated hardware in Australia for low lag if you are in Australia or New Zealand. It is cost covered and they say donations are not needed and will never be asked for.

The server has one player sleep so nights do not drag on. It has been running for about a month and they want active long term players.
