Cave-Only Semi-Anarchy Season 2 Chaos
CaveMC is a semi anarchy survival server with an enhanced vanilla feel and it is all underground. The overworld has no surface at all so you live in a huge cave world with biomes resources and structures. It is made with custom world generation built by real Minecraft developers.
Season 2 is live so it is a fresh start and the survival is meant to be brutal. You basically have to be smart and tough to last.
There is also a big expansion called the Wasteland Dimension. It adds exclusive gear mega structures to explore and mysteries to figure out. It also brings a unique currency so players can trade and build a new economy. I found Anarchy Network and it is a semi anarchy survival server that tries to feel like real vanilla Minecraft with very few changes.
It started on October 11th 2024 and it is hosted in New York City. The server stays online all day and it lets you join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11. They recommend 1.21.10 so you do not get weird issues.
The world is huge with a 2 million block border and there are no map resets. There is no pay to win and griefing plus pvp is allowed so you need to be careful.
There is no teleporting and the only command they allow is spawn so people far away can still get back to civilization. Nether roof access is allowed. Phantoms are removed and only half the players need to sleep to skip the night.

This is a community centered survival server that feels like a Hermitcraft style SMP. It is made by the players and a lot of choices come from community requests and polls.
It keeps the vanilla experience as the main goal. There is a diamond based economy with a shopping district. You will also see public builds and bigger projects going on.
Most players use proximity chat so it is easy to talk while you play. There are homes plus some cosmetic and quality of life and fun plugins.

Pixel Springs is a cozy modded SMP on 1.20.1 that is meant to be long term and it never resets. It is made for builders collectors and anyone who likes chill survival with friends.
The mod list is packed for building and decorating so you can really make your place look nice. There are also big farming mods so you can grow tons of crops and cook a huge amount of meals.
If you like goals there is a custom FTB Quests setup that helps you learn mods and supports collecting. You can earn in game currency from quests and daily rewards then open a shop and build in the community shopping district.
There is magic too with options like Botania Hexerei Mystical Agriculture and Ars Noveau. If you love animals there are lots of cute creatures to find and keep.

MineSpot is a classic Prison server that feels really OG and is made for players who like to grind. It is built around pay to progress and not pay to win so you actually have to earn your ranks and upgrades.
You start low and rank up through the classic mines then you unlock strong custom enchants. You can also prestige to push your progress even more.
There are gangs to join and KOTH events to fight over. You can do quests and use minebombs to mine faster.
