AeternalCiv is a geopolitical civilization building server where players try to forge their own destiny. You can be a citizen or a king or queen or just live alone as a hermit and still fit in.
It uses reinforcement with Citadel and it also has snitches so actions can get noticed. There is warfare plus Movecraft so fights can turn into big vehicle battles.
There are Origins and RPG style mechanics with ValhallaMMO. You will also see Seasons levelled mobs custom recipes and Brewery.
The server started as a small friend group and now they want more people to grow the world together. It is still in active development so expect changes and new mechanics later.

HermitLike Season Two is a new SMP that is inspired by HermitCraft and it is built for players who like to chill build and work together.
The server is on version 1.21.11 and it supports crossplay so Java and Bedrock players can be in the same world even on console.
It stays mainly vanilla with only a few quality of life and moderation plugins. There are no pay to win stuff and no voting crates or weird extras. There is no TP and no warps and no towny style systems and no land claiming.
The server is focused on trust and the rules are simple like no PVP no stealing and no griefing. There is an active staff team and a friendly Discord community.
Players are already setting up a starter village at spawn and you can join in. After the starting period there will be a communal shopping district. There is also an online live map so you can see builds and where people are.
It is still early game and the End is planned to open this Friday so it is a good time to jump in before things get too far ahead.

ArcticMC is a new survival server that just started a couple days ago. It mixes Towny and factions so you can build a town then claim land and make allies or fight for territory.
PVP matters here but it is supposed to be honorable. They have an honor system that gets explained in their rules so fights do not feel like pure chaos.
You can level skills with McMMO while you play. It feels more like an MMO since you train stuff like mining and combat and unlock special abilities.
The world uses Tectonic generation so the land looks realistic with big mountains and valleys. There are also custom items and even furniture but it is entity based so they plan limits to help with lag.
The community is described as calm and friendly. It sounds like a place to build grind and explore without everyone yelling all the time.

I found a small Minecraft group that is trying to feel like a real friend circle. It is a Skyblock SMP where people play and also hang out in chat. There are around 10 active players right now and they are open to more people joining.
They do weekly gatherings every Wednesday night around 7 PM EST. The server is still open the rest of the time so you can hop on whenever you want and talk with people.
The community runs on a first name vibe or a simple nickname if you want. They care a lot about being respectful so it stays comfy for all skill levels.

I found a free Paper server running on 1.21.11 and it is being tested to see how well the host holds up.
It keeps things pretty simple with only a few plugins. You get Essentials plus mcMMO and MineGuard.
If you want a chill place to hop in and help test performance this one is open for people to join and mess around while it gets tried out.
