Vanilla Flavoured is a semi casual SMP that plays mostly like normal Minecraft. You do not need any client mods to join. The server only uses some server side mods for small quality of life stuff.
The server is hosted in the EU. The owner made it this way because they and a bunch of other players had trouble finding good servers in this region. So it is nice if you are in Europe or just want better ping there.
This world is pretty new. It was up for about a month of testing before it went public. So you are not super far behind and there is still room to grow and build.
PvP is allowed here so you can fight other players if you want. But griefing and looting bases is not allowed at all. There are systems on the server to help stop that so your stuff should be safe.

It has land claims so your stuff can stay safe. You also get up to 4 homes you can set which makes getting around a lot easier.

The world is huge with a 2 million block border and they say there are no map resets. There is no pay to win and there is no teleporting. PvP and griefing are allowed so you have to watch your back.
The only non vanilla thing they allow is a spawn command so people far away are not stuck forever. Nether roof is allowed. Phantoms are removed and only half the players are needed to skip the night.
