Turtlecraft is a survival server that feels like a small family. It is on season seven and the server has been around for a long time. When they start a new season they keep player bases and nations but reset the rest of the world with a new seed so you always get fresh terrain without losing your builds.
The spawn is built by players and has a custom villager shop with cosmetic items and invisible item frames. There are small quality of life plugins like sitting on stairs slabs and carpets and a sleep plugin that slowly moves the night instead of skipping it. You can also claim land so random people do not grief your stuff.
They use some simple crafting datapacks. You can cut more blocks with the stonecutter and craft invisible item frames and bundles and get more wood from logs. It still feels close to vanilla and there are no crazy custom mobs.
The world is big with a fifteen thousand by fifteen thousand block map. Every six months the untouched chunks get wiped and regenerated with a new seed while bases stay. There is a Bluemap so you can see the world from a browser and find friends or plan where to go next.
The server is public so there is no whitelist. As long as you follow the rules and do not cause trouble you can join with friends or family. There are six moderators who watch chat and help people so the place stays safe and friendly.

Durian SMP is a very new server that is only about a week old. It has a small group with around 14 consistent players and it feels pretty close and active.
It plays like a mostly vanilla survival server with a couple small tweaks. There are graves so you can get your stuff back easier and there is a shop plugin so players can trade with each other. People will help you get started but they are not just handing out max gear.
The admin uses logging with Ledger and can do rollbacks if something goes wrong. If items get taken and you can prove they existed like with screenshots or Ledger pages they can be returned.
PvP is only allowed if both players agree. Stealing and griefing can get you warned or banned depending on how bad it is. Slurs and hate are not allowed anywhere and cheating gets an instant ban. Duping is also not allowed and it is handled with a strike system.

Delve is a text based roleplay server for players who are 18 and up. It is set in the year 1710 and it has a big high fantasy vibe. Your character shows up as a traveler heading to a new land. The goal is to figure out the mystery of dungeons that started appearing back home.
There are 8 official races plus a half bred option. Each race has its own culture and history. Regions are not locked to one race so you can run into mixed groups in lots of places.

CaveMC is a semi anarchy survival server that feels like vanilla but tougher. The big twist is the whole overworld is underground so there is no surface at all. It is all caves biomes resources and structures down below made with custom world generation by real Minecraft developers.
Season 2 is live with a fresh start and a bunch of additions. Survival is brutal and you have to be smart to last.
There is also a new Wasteland Dimension opening on November 8th. It adds new gear huge mega structures to explore and mysteries to hunt.
