BetaBuddies is a small vanilla SMP on Minecraft Beta 1.7.3. It is for people who miss classic survival and want to build with others and keep it simple.

The community is trying to grow and stay active. The vibe is about having fun and making cool builds together in the old Beta style.

Sunset Retreat is an EU based seasonal SMP for players who are 18 and up. It is made to feel chill so you can relax and play without the chaos.

It stays close to vanilla but adds a few quality of life things. There is voice chat. There are mob and player heads. It also has Bedrock compatibility and a Pl3xMap so you can look at the world.

The server uses a diamond economy with player run shops. The owners are active and they actually play and keep up with updates. It is whitelisted and the community is welcoming and inclusive.

I found a chill long term SMP that is meant for people who want to play at their own pace and just build and survive.

They say the world has no resets so you can stick around and keep your progress. The community is supposed to be active and relaxed with no griefers and no drama.

There is a simple economy plus voice chat. PvP is optional since there is a toggle. It also has a Bedrock port for people who want to join that way.

CaliCraft is a player run Minecraft server based out of California where you can actually shape what happens. Every two weeks players elect an Emperor and this role has real power over the server. They can change plugins make laws and even imprison people for basically any reason. If you get marked as a fugitive you can end up spawning in prison when you die or get dragged back in handcuffs if you get caught.

The Emperor still has to follow a Constitution but they can add temporary laws during their reign. If players vote in a Discord poll for 3 days a law can become permanent so the server can change over time.

There is a lobby first and it gets you into the different gamemodes fast. Modded Survival has custom enchantments skills jobs an auction house an economy custom dungeons and vote crates with strong gear. It is also a claim world and it has a kingdom that the Emperor runs.

Vanilla Survival has quests chest sorting and daily rewards for more chill play. There is also Skyblock with some extra addons.

The server supports Java and Bedrock cross play and it supports versions 1.17.1 to 1.21.10. It also uses a custom resource pack with unique mobs animals elites and dungeon bosses with special drops so it feels like you need to come prepared.
