This is a vanilla survival server that is meant to last for years and not just one short season. The world does not reset so whatever you build or gather really matters over time. There are no kits and no land claims so you have to earn everything and protect yourself.
The server keeps real vanilla mechanics like TNT duping and redstone so technical builds work how you expect. At the same time unfair stuff like crazy movement hacks and ESP or x ray gets blocked so survival still feels fair.
Sometimes the server is quiet on purpose. It is made for people who like a world that just keeps going and does not wipe every few months. You can join on Java or Bedrock and play on version 1.21.10.

TownThrive is a Minecraft server that really cares about player interaction and towns. The whole idea is that players form towns and larger nations and then deal with each other using politics trade and sometimes war.
The rules are pretty simple. You cant use hacked clients xray or any external mods that give an unfair advantage. Stuff like minimap fullbright and schematica are allowed though. You also cant use alts in game or in the discord. Griefing and raiding are only allowed during war so random griefing is not ok.
The server has plugins for towns and nations and there is a player driven economy. There are custom crafting recipes and a custom world generation so the world feels different from normal. There is movecraft and cannons so battles can be more intense. There is a brewery plugin and a minecart improvements datapack too.
The server runs on Minecraft 1.21.1 and is hosted in Florida in the United States. It is up 24 7 and keeps a steady 20 TPS so it runs smooth. It is whitelisted so you have to get on the whitelist before joining.
The server also supports SimpleVC and crossplay with Geyser plus cracked or offline support. Overall it feels like a place where towns grow into nations and wars actually matter instead of just random chaos.

I found this server called Iperios and it is all about making nations. You can start your own nation and make your own government and your own rules and ranks. If you do not want to lead a nation you can just join one that is already made.
The server runs the Allthemods10 ATM10 modpack on version 5.3.1 so you need that installed before you can play. It is whitelist only so you have to join their discord first and ask to get on the list.
When you first join the staff helps you a lot. A staff member shows you around and gives you a beginner kit so you are not totally lost. After that you can go off and build or join a nation and start playing how you like.
The server feels like it is focused on community and nations instead of random chaos. It is more about working together and making cool countries with your friends.

This server is being made for people who want to help create scripted Minecraft videos. It is going for a style kind of like Unstable Universe where players act out scenes and stories.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy server that tries to feel like normal vanilla survival but with barely any rules. It launched in October 2024 and it runs all the time on a world with a huge border.
You can join on a lot of Java versions and they recommend using 1.21.10 so stuff does not break. There are no map resets so everything you do will stay unless another player blows it up.
This server allows full pvp and griefing so you really have to watch your back. There is no teleporting at all and there is no pay to win shop. The only command you get that is not vanilla is spawn so people super far away can still get back to others.
They also let you use the nether roof and they removed phantoms and only half the players are needed to skip the night which makes survival a bit less annoying.
Even though it is semi anarchy there are still a few rules. You cannot use exploits or dupes or lag machines and you cannot spam or use harassment or racial slurs in chat. So the server is chaotic but not totally toxic.
