Ordinary SMP is a vanilla Java survival server that feels like a small and tight group of friends. The community is really active and players like to build and explore together and just hang out.
The server is always updated and right now it runs on version 1.21.11. It has grief protection with tools that let staff check what happened so builds and items stay safe from griefing or theft.

PurpleSMP is a small survival server that feels really calm and safe. It is made for people who just want to build and relax in newer versions of Minecraft without random players ruining everything.
This server is PvE focused and PvP is off by default. If you actually want to fight you can toggle PvP on for yourself with a command. There are land claims so you can protect your base and every block placed or broken is logged so griefers can be caught.

Foggy Willows is a server for people who want Minecraft as close to normal as possible. It runs on the regular vanilla server jar with no datapacks and no plugins.
There is no big confusing spawn with a ton of signs to read. You basically join and you are in the world. You figure things out yourself.
Players here are supposed to handle their own social problems. There is no teleport or sethome and there is no world border. You just walk build mine and survive in hard mode.
You can play how you want and build what you want. Technical players are welcome too since it is always on the latest stable vanilla jar and hosted on a machine built for it.
