The Garden is a Java 1.21.11 survival multiplayer server that is built for worldbuilding adventure and roleplay. It uses a bunch of plugins to add flavor without turning it into a pay to win mess.
The big hook is the life system. You start with 3 lives and you only lose them through PvP. When you run out you become a ghost and now you are on the other side of the veil.
Some vanilla stuff is turned off to fit the roleplay better like elytra and ender chests so people actually build roads and travel systems. You can lock chests with trial keys and you can craft lockpicks to break into stuff. There are chest shops and you can brew alcohol and beers plus lots of QoL things.
When you join you wake up on top of the clouds and you have to stick the landing. Then you head down the Monolith pick a race like Human Halfling Orc or Elf and wake up at the docks of Isla De Viva Eterna. From there you can sail out to explore or settle with other players. The vibe is relaxed with optional challenges and the staff and mods are active and attentive.

The SMP is survival with real stakes. Pvp is on and people are supposed to fight. Base raiding and looting are allowed so you have to be careful. Players make alliances then start wars and sometimes betray each other.
They also have custom legendary weapons and armor with abilities and cooldowns so fights stay skill based. There are KOTH events happening multiple times per day and new legendary drops weekly.
If you want straight up pvp there is a Duels mode with fast arena fights competitive kits and a ranked ELO system.
