This server is a small modded world that runs the Origins mod with some extra quality of life stuff. It uses simple voice chat so people can talk in game and it has lootr for better loot sharing.
The rules are super light and it is almost anarchy. There is no racism and no sexism allowed but outside of that players can pretty much do what they want. It feels like a place for people who just want to mess around and see what happens.
You need CurseForge to join because it is a modded setup. There is no age requirement but everyone is expected to act mature. It is a good spot if you want chaotic gameplay with a tiny bit of structure.

LastStand is a semi hardcore Minecraft server where every life actually matters. When you die three times from any cause you become a ghost because of a custom plugin. So you really feel that extra thrill when you go out to explore or fight.
The server is mostly vanilla and just uses a few plugins like land claims and teams. These are there to make the game more fun without changing it too much. You can join as a builder who wants higher stakes a PvP player who wants to cause chaos or a leader who wants to create a powerful nation with friends.
The community is meant to be friendly and welcoming. The server is fully inclusive and open to LGBTQ players and people of every race religion and background. There is zero tolerance for anyone who breaks these rules or is hateful.

This is a vanilla SMP called GOOMB and the world just got reset so everything feels new again. The world uses amplified terrain so the mountains and cliffs look super crazy and people keep posting cool screenshots.
Right now there is a 2k by 2k border so everyone is kind of close together and you see tiny starter bases everywhere. Because of that people end up building near each other or teaming up which makes it feel like a real little town. The border will expand more later so there will be more room for big plans and bigger bases.
The community talks a lot on the discord with people advertising shops sharing pictures and making deals to trade stuff. It feels pretty active and it seems like they really want new players to join and be part of it.

UneasyVanilla is a semi anarchy vanilla server that tries to stay close to the original idea of Minecraft. It runs on version 1.21.8 and the world has been around for more than four years.
When you first join you will spawn in a crazy mess of lavacasts and griefed terrain. Spawn is totally wrecked and it feels wild. You have to find your way out and then you can go explore and build bases far away.
The server is a mix of survival and chaos. People can fight raid and grief so you really need to think about where you build and who you trust. Even with that the community feels pretty relaxed and kind of tight knit.
There are rules but they are simple. The idea is to keep the server fair and running well instead of stopping normal survival and anarchy style gameplay. Staff are active and they ban cheaters and try to keep the gameplay honest.

This is a classic vanilla survival smp that is set to hard so it actually feels like a challenge. It is not packed with plugins or crazy stuff. It is just the normal game where you have to gather your tools and survive.
There are usually around ten to twenty players so it feels alive but not crowded. People are from different regions so you almost always find someone on. The players are pretty chill and like to build and explore and do random adventures together.
The world has a border of thirty thousand blocks so there is still a lot of room for big bases and small cabins. Because it is whitelisted you have to apply before you join which helps keep out trolls.
