TendoMC is a modded Naruto style server on Minecraft 1.12.2. It uses Forge and CustomNPCs to make quests and boss fights that actually feel like a story.
You can pick from five nations like Leaf Sand Stone Cloud and Mist. Each nation has its own NPC that sells unique outfits and some special items so you can look like your village.
There are custom quests and boss fights with NPCs that use real abilities and jutsu style attacks. The owner is also adding more story events where players can try to become a Jinchuriki and unlock extra powers.
Players can work toward ranks like Akatsuki or Hokage. The server will run ninja exams pretty often depending on how the player base grows so you can prove yourself instead of just being given a title.
The server is not pay to win. You can get everything by playing through bosses and questlines. There are crates but they are mostly to help people who cannot play all day and still want to keep up. Anything you can get with real money is also obtainable in game.
TendoMC is Java only and runs on version 1.12.2 with Forge. The owner has a lot of experience running other game servers and wants to bring a new playstyle to a Naruto themed Minecraft world.

This server is called LegacyMC and it is a straight up vanilla anarchy world. There are no rules and no limits so you can do whatever you want. It is all about a raw survival experience where the world is wide open and nobody is holding your hand.
There are no land claims and no teleport commands. PvP is always on and griefing and raiding are allowed. If you build something you also have to protect it yourself because staff will not step in. What you create or destroy is all up to you.
The server runs on dedicated hardware in Australia so it works really well for players in Australia and New Zealand. There is no pay to win and no shop and they do not ask for donations. The world does not reset so anything you do can last for a long time.

This server is called TwinFront and it runs on Minecraft Forge 1.20.1. The whole idea is that there are two rival clans. One clan is in the north and the other clan is in the south. In the middle there is a super dangerous NPC island with risky loot. Between the two main islands there is a huge ocean so you really have to think about boats raids and navigation.
The server uses more than 40 mods. The main ones are Create for automation and factories and TACZ for modern guns and tactical fights. Because of this battles are not just spam hitting. You actually need strategy and teamwork. People have to coordinate attacks defend land and try to control territory.
There is an AutoModpack system so the modpack downloads and updates automatically when you join. You do not have to set up the mods yourself. You just hop in and it gets handled for you.
The server is not open 24 7. During holidays it is online from late morning to late evening. Outside holidays it has different hours on weekdays and weekends. The owners are still recruiting more players because the two clans need to be more balanced. Right now it feels like a good time to join if you want to help shape the war and pick a side.

This server is called BruhMemeSMP and it is almost pure vanilla. It only has a couple basic plugins like tpa and rtp so it still feels like normal Minecraft. It is not an anarchy server at all and pvp is turned off.
The whole point of the server is to keep things simple and fun. It does not spam you with a million mods or crazy custom stuff. It just has a few small plugins that make life easier but the game still feels like regular survival.
The rules are pretty strict about being nice. You cannot pvp anyone unless pvp somehow turns on and both people say yes. Griefing and stealing are totally not allowed. If someone is caught doing that they can get a permanent ban with almost no chance to come back.

I found this server called 99b99t and it is a new Minecraft anarchy world. It is a true anarchy server so there are no rules at all. You can do whatever you want and nobody will stop you.
The world is fresh and not all ruined yet so players can still make their mark. You can explore and build or just destroy everything you see. It runs on hard difficulty so surviving is actually tough.
It supports versions from 1.12.2 up to 1.21.11 so lots of players can join without changing much. The server is online 24 7 so you can log in any time and see what chaos happened while you were gone.

This server is called Nexus SMP and it feels like a hermitcraft style world. It is already in season 2 and the world has been going for about a year. Right now this season has been running for around three months so it already feels pretty established with players and builds.
The server is for 18 plus players and it is Java only. It runs Fabric on version 1.21.10 and they plan to update to 1.21.11 when the mods are ready. So it is not some random reset server. It feels like a long term place where people can settle in and actually finish bases.
They are also launching a separate creative server. That is for testing ideas and doing build collabs before you bring stuff into survival. So you can mess around with designs there first.
