LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server that feels like classic Minecraft but with zero rules. There are no land claims and no teleport commands so you actually have to travel and survive. PvP is always on and griefing and raiding are allowed so nothing is really safe.
The server is hosted on dedicated hardware in Australia so it is aimed at players from Australia and New Zealand who want low lag. The world started in June 2025 so it is still pretty fresh and there is a big chance to leave your mark and build something that lasts.
There are no pay to win ranks and no monetisation at all. The owner says the costs are already covered and donations are not wanted. There are no gameplay changing plugins and no admin interference so what happens in the world is all because of the players.

Halcyon is a Minecraft lands PvP server that feels like old school survival but on the newest version. It was started by a postgraduate medievalist and the whole server aims for a strong medieval atmosphere.
The world is custom made with big unique biomes. There is no teleporting so travel actually matters. Players make roads waystations and hidden railways to move around. The F3 menu is turned off so you cannot just use coordinates to find your way. People trade lodestone compasses make maps and even learn how to navigate with the sun and moon.
The gameplay is meant to be harder and slower. There are some restrictions that reduce easy meta strategies and automation. Progression takes more effort so things like bravery smart trading big cities and mighty fortresses are what make you strong. You succeed by teaming up and rallying people to your banner instead of abusing exploits.
