    I found a semi anarchy survival server that tries to stay really close to vanilla. It started on October 11th 2024 and it is hosted in New York City in the USA.

    It runs all the time and it lets you join from Java 1.7.2 up to 1.21.11. They say 1.21.10 is best so stuff works right. The world is massive with a 2 million block border and it is meant to last since there are no map resets.

    It is basically play how you want with PvP and griefing allowed and no pay to win. There is no teleporting and the only command they allow is spawn so players far out are not stuck forever. Nether roof is allowed phantoms are removed and it takes only half the players to skip the night.

    They still block the worst stuff like exploits lag machines duping spam and harassment or racial slurs in chat.

    HomesteadCraft is a Java SMP for adults only and it is 21 plus. The world is about 4 years old and it does not do map resets so big builds can stay and grow. The map just expands when updates happen.

    It is a small chill community and they try to keep it low drama with no kids. There is no required playtime so you can play when you want.

    The server runs on Java 1.21.11 and has a few QOL plugins. Stuff like one player sleep claims for anti grief Aura skills and a loot plugin. Most plugins can be toggled off if you prefer.

    There are also resource worlds for the overworld and nether plus an End resource world that resets weekly. There is a player run shopping district and a Gaming Island too. Difficulty is normal.

    The server is mostly about nations and how players interact. You can join a nation or start your own or even play as a nomad if you want to be on your own.

    There is a merchants village where you trade credits for lots of stuff like enchants and building blocks. Sometimes they also run events there.

    There is also a big mystery part with unknown entities. In season one there was a main enemy called Unknown and after the final battle it split into five fragments. Those fragments can show up during sessions and do different things from combat to jump scares so you never really know what is coming.
