Kingdoms is a whitelisted semi vanilla server that runs on 1.21.10 and it is all about player politics and big roleplay between kingdoms.
The server has a custom mod that lets you actually create a kingdom with commands. You can change your identity in tab and in chat so you really feel like a different character instead of just your normal name.
There is voicechat so people can talk and do more serious or funny roleplay. PVP is more intense because if you die in PVP you get a 24 hour ban so fights actually matter and wars feel risky.
The world has improved terrain to make exploring feel cooler. The server also uses Carpet Mod and everyone can use the player command. They try to keep all vanilla mechanics working and even bring back old things like string duplication void trading and update suppression.
Overall it feels like a place where players control the story through politics wars and alliances while still staying pretty close to normal Minecraft survival.

Ruby SMP is a towny style survival server where everything is based around nations politics and pvp. The whole world changes as players build towns form nations and fight over land.
You can make your own town or join an existing one and try to climb up in the nation. Players control territory expand borders manage resources and form alliances with other groups.
The server has a big focus on pvp and wars. Nations fight over land and power and there are organized pvp events. When there is a war it actually matters and has consequences for the server.
There are extra systems to make the world feel deeper. Nations can have their own culture to give them more identity. There is also a contracts system so players can make real deals like alliances trades and treaties.
The community is very involved. Staff listens to player feedback and uses it to change rules and shape new seasons. The server says it is not pay to win and aims for balanced pvp with active staff and a world that keeps evolving.
Some towns are already looking for new members like Dawnia of the Grand Empire and Crownspire and Sunfeld of the Kingdom of Vlandia.

This is a cosy building smp that is starting season 3. It is meant for people who like relaxing Minecraft and a comfy vibe.
The server uses server side mods that make the game less boring but it still feels like vanilla. There are claims so your builds stay safe. You can use tpa and set homes to travel around easier. It has keep inventory and a pvp toggle so you can choose if you want to fight or not. The difficulty is normal and villagers have 100 percent zombification.
The community is very supportive of lgbtq plus players. A lot of the community and staff are queer. The server is female owned and managed and they are serious about no harassment and no discrimination.
You have to be at least 15 years old and you join by sending an application. There are sneak peek shots of season 3 and screenshots from season 2 that show off the cosy vibe and builds.

Halcyon is a Lands PvP server that feels like old school Minecraft survival but on the newest version. It was started by a postgraduate medievalist so the whole world has a strong medieval atmosphere. The server is based in Australia but there are players from Europe the Americas and Asia so it is pretty active.
The world is fully handmade with big unique biomes. There is no teleportation so traveling actually matters. Players build long roads waystations and secret underground railways to move around. The F3 menu is turned off so navigation is a real challenge. Some people sell lodestone compasses and others work on giant maps or teach how to navigate by the sun and moon.
The gameplay is designed to be harder and slower. There are a few restrictions to make progression take longer and to make meta strategies and automation less important. To succeed you focus on working with other players doing brave PvP fights trading smart and building strong cities and castles. It is more about skill and teamwork than exploits.
There is no strict server lore and no pre built adventure. You just join pick a direction punch some trees and play how you like. Over time your story connects with other players and turns into history with fights alliances and legends. The plugins and world are made to push this type of emergent storytelling and people already create books art myths and weird superstitions in game.

NvizionMC is a crossplay SMP that feels really chill and relaxed. It has been open for about a month and there are already around eighty people in the community with a handful on every day. It feels like the kind of place where you can just hop on after school and hang out.
The server has a survival world with an economy so you can earn in game money and spend it in a server shop. You also get money for voting every day which makes it easier to save up for bigger stuff over time.
There are chest shops so players can rent their own shop at spawn and sell things. You can claim land so your base is protected right away and you do not have to stress about people breaking your builds.
There is SimpleVoiceChat for proximity chat so you can actually talk to people nearby instead of just typing. Everyone also gets access to ImageFrames which makes builds feel more custom and fun. There are cosmetics and sometimes rank and key giveaways too so it feels like there is always something going on.
Overall it looks like a simple survival server that focuses on a chill vibe and a friendly community instead of super complicated plugins.
