Storybook SMP is a small fantasy style SMP where you can actually play as monsters. The main mods right now are Vampirism and Werewolves Become A Beast so you can live as one of those creatures from fairytales.
The community is pretty small but active and there are people on at all hours. Most players live around the spawn village so it feels like a cozy town. Everyone is social and chill and there is no random killing. PvP only happens when both players say yes so it stays friendly.
The server is 13 plus and the players act mature. You do not need to be an adult. You just need to be nice and ready to be part of the group.
Roleplay is a big part of the server idea. Everyone makes a backstory for their character and that goes into the whitelist application. After you join you share your backstory in a public channel so other players can read your lore and you can read theirs.
The big official roleplay story has not started yet and the ending is not decided. The community will choose when it begins and when it ends. That gives you time to build your house and get your monster life set up. The pace is very relaxed and nobody rushes you.

Sovereign SMP is on Season 6 and it feels like a small HermitCraft style world where everyone actually talks to each other and builds cool stuff.
The server is basically vanilla but it has a few plugins just so it runs smooth. Players use diamonds as money and there are shops plus community builds and games so you are not just stuck mining alone.
The community is very LGBTQIA plus friendly and they really push for a fun and welcoming vibe so new players can fit in fast. There are people from all over the world and all kinds of Minecrafters like builders and redstone people and explorers.

The Pen is a classic prison server that feels like the old days. It is not an OP prison so you actually have to grind for money and gear. You start with basic tools and leather armor and you work your way up through the ranks.
You mine and smelt your ores then walk through pvp zones to sell them in the commissary. There is no instasell so every trip is risky. Swords and potions are illegal and if guards see you with contraband they will fight you and can even send you to solitary confinement for bad conduct.
There are normal prison ranks from A up to H and then you can become a Parolee and finally a Citizen. After you hit the top rank you can prestige for special rewards. You can also rent a prison cell or a prison plot to store items build little setups grow illegal plants or run your own shop to sell to other players.
The server has guards senior guards wardens and higher staff that keep things under control and help new players. There are quests you can complete for cash or special items. You can earn money in many ways like mining fishing growing illegal crops or using the auction house. There are also bounties you can place on enemies and parkour challenges scattered around the prison.
Overall it is a barebones nostalgic prison server focused on grinding pvp and community instead of crazy overpowered gear.

This server is called Disc Realms Anthala and it feels like a big world that is meant to last. The owners say there are no resets and all your data is saved forever so it feels safe to build big projects and not worry.

This is a vanilla survival server that is trying to feel like Hermitcraft but for regular players. Season 5 is starting on December 5 and it is meant to last a long time so people can actually finish mega bases and big projects.
The server is on hard mode and there is a 20k world border with a softer limit at 10k so chunks do not get out of control. The End has an infinite border and it gets reset sometimes so you can keep getting resources. If you build something cool there you can ask the admins to save it before a reset.
Right now they are in a scouting phase. You can log in before the reset just to explore the world with the seed they gave and pick where you want to live when season 5 starts. The world will be wiped when the season launches so this is just for planning and claiming spots.
