This is a bedrock realm on a huge earth map that is scaled down to 1 to 4000. It still has all the normal vanilla structures and biomes so it feels like regular Minecraft but on a world map.
On this server you can claim land and stay peaceful if you want. You can just build and develop your area and make cool bases and towns. If you like fighting you can also start wars and battle other players. You can even do both and defend your land.
The realm is mostly vanilla so there are no crazy laggy addons or mods. It is just a clean simple experience that feels close to the base game.
There are some rules so things do not get totally insane. But the rules are pretty chill and you still get a lot of freedom to play how you want whether you are a builder or a pvper.

MushroomSMP is a new semi vanilla SMP that just opened and it feels like a fresh world ready to explore. The server tries to stay close to normal Minecraft while using a few plugins just to keep everything running smooth.
There is no world border so players can travel super far and find their own spots. The community is focused on survival and building with plans for a big shopping district where people can trade and show off cool builds.
The server runs fun community events like buildathons and a big end fight so players can team up and do big challenges together. It is whitelisted and meant for mature players 18 and older so the vibe is more chill and respectful.
They use Bluemap so you can see the world from a web map and find places with markers and signs. There are no donations needed so you can just play and enjoy the game without money stuff getting in the way.

LegacyMC is a vanilla anarchy server that tries to feel like classic Minecraft survival but with zero rules. There are no land claims and no teleport commands and no special perks. What you build or destroy is all up to you and it will stay there because the server does not reset.
The whole world is open and anyone can fight you or raid you. PvP is always on and griefing is allowed so you have to be careful who you trust. There is no whitelist so you can just join and start playing.
The server runs on dedicated hardware in Australia so it should feel good for players in Australia and New Zealand. The owner does not ask for donations and there is no pay to win so everyone plays on the same level.

Endergrove is a modded Minecraft server made for adults who want a calm and chill place to play together. It is connected to a long running Discord group so the community feels more like friends than random players.
The modpack they use mixes magic tech and exploration so there is stuff to do for all kinds of players. You can even grab the pack from Curseforge first if you just want to test it or look through the mods before joining.

Turtlecraft is a survival server that feels like a small family. It is on season seven and the server has been around for a long time. When they start a new season they keep player bases and nations but reset the rest of the world with a new seed so you always get fresh terrain without losing your builds.
The spawn is built by players and has a custom villager shop with cosmetic items and invisible item frames. There are small quality of life plugins like sitting on stairs slabs and carpets and a sleep plugin that slowly moves the night instead of skipping it. You can also claim land so random people do not grief your stuff.
They use some simple crafting datapacks. You can cut more blocks with the stonecutter and craft invisible item frames and bundles and get more wood from logs. It still feels close to vanilla and there are no crazy custom mobs.
The world is big with a fifteen thousand by fifteen thousand block map. Every six months the untouched chunks get wiped and regenerated with a new seed while bases stay. There is a Bluemap so you can see the world from a browser and find friends or plan where to go next.
The server is public so there is no whitelist. As long as you follow the rules and do not cause trouble you can join with friends or family. There are six moderators who watch chat and help people so the place stays safe and friendly.
