7-Day Apocalypse Island Hardcore Event
I found a modded hardcore Minecraft event that is built around a 7 day apocalypse story on one island. Everyone spawns together so it starts loud and chaotic and you have to figure out who to trust.
Day 1 is normal survival and you just prepare. Day 2 brings a blood moon so nights get way more dangerous and mobs feel stronger. Day 3 is eternal night so the sun never comes back and creatures can carry weapons.
Day 4 has meteors hitting the island and something starts spreading. Day 5 turns it into a dead world where crops barely grow and food gets scarce. Day 6 is rising waters and the ocean slowly floods the island. Day 7 is a tsunami and there is basically nowhere to run.
It uses a one life system. If you die players get 60 seconds to revive you and if it fails you are out. You need a microphone and you need to be able to install mods using CurseForge or Modrinth. I found a server called Orbital SMP and it has been running since October 25. It usually has around 20 players so it feels active but not crowded.
It is almost like donut smp but it is more chill with less raids and less players. There are lootdrops every weekend so you always have something to look forward to.

EchelonMC is a custom survival server on Minecraft Java. It is made for long term building and teamwork. It is not trying to be a sweaty PvP place and it is not about stealing or griefing.
It is hosted in Canada and it has been in active development for about a month. Java 1.21.11 is recommended and older versions are supported too.
The server has custom coded systems and it avoids pay to win stuff. It gets patches a lot and changes are shaped by player feedback so it can grow with the community instead of feeling disposable.
You can make paths just by walking and you can get speed bonuses when you use them. There is a currency called Echelites you earn by playing and you can spend it on progression utilities and quality of life.
Land claiming is advanced with visual borders and per chunk settings plus anti grief protection and controls for things like mobs TNT fire spread raids and fluids. You can publish builds as public chunks so people can visit and you can earn rewards from visitors and climb build rankings.
There is a teams system with invites shared utilities and custom team nametags. Deaths make timed graves for your items and there is a back command to help you recover after teleports. This is a Cobblemon modded server that is trying to bring in more players. It already has a solid community with over 35 members and it feels like a place to play together instead of grinding alone.
The server includes monsters all the way up to Pokemon Z A. It also has new megas plus z moves plus dynamaxing and more.
They run tournaments that anyone can join and you can earn rewards. The vibe is aimed at players who hate pay to win servers.
