Haven Craft is a small vanilla survival server where everyone is still pretty early.
It feels really chill and relaxed and the world is basically a blank canvas. You can join now and help build the community from the ground up.
It is pure vanilla so there are no extra plugins or crazy mods. It is just normal Minecraft survival and a place to hang out with friends.

EchelonMC is a custom survival SMP that is built for people who want to play long term and work together. It is not about griefing or constant fighting. It is more about building cool stuff and making a strong community over time.
The server runs on Minecraft Java and has fully custom coded systems instead of random plugin packs. The owner keeps updating it a lot and listens to player feedback. It is not pay to win. Progress comes from playing and working with others.
There is a special currency you earn just by playing and you can spend it on progression and quality of life things. Land claiming is advanced with visual borders and controls for stuff like mobs TNT fire spread raids and other griefing things.
You can publish your builds as public chunks so other players can visit them and you can get rewards from visitors and climb build rankings. There is a team system so you can create teams invite friends share utilities and show team nametags.
When you die you get graves that hold your items for a while and you can use back after teleports to help recover. The server also has voting with in game rewards Discord link chat bridge a spawn hub with custom NPCs and utilities and anti x ray protections.
EchelonMC feels like a serious building SMP that wants a steady community of players who like collaboration and slow but real progression instead of constant resets.

Solarion SMP is a whitelisted survival server for players who are 18 or older. It runs on Java 1.21 and the admins are pretty chill and hands off so it feels relaxed.
The server plays a lot like Hermitcraft. It is all about long term survival and building a world that stays active for many months. Seasons usually last around 6 to 8 months so you actually have time to finish big bases farms and mega builds.
The world is fresh for season 7 so everyone is starting new. People work on shops community districts games parkour and puzzles. There is some lore and roleplay but nothing is forced. It just happens naturally when people hang out.
The server uses some datapacks and plugins like proximity voice chat a live map grief protection with rollbacks safe item recovery better armor stand tools custom heads player sleep and some extra tools to reduce lag and keep the world smooth.
The community is tight knit and very social. Chat is unfiltered and open minded. Dark humor and strong language are allowed but you still have to not be a jerk.
If you want a long term adult server with survival gameplay lots of building and a community that actually sticks around Solarion SMP season 7 looks pretty good.

OCMER is a server that tries to recreate a 2012 closed map experiment. The world is carefully controlled so everything you do really matters.
There are special rules and the map is not just open and endless. Because of this the gameplay feels way more intense and challenging.
The server is built for a small group of around 30 players. The community aims to be close knit so you actually get to know the other people on the server.
If you want a unique challenge and like playing with a small serious group this server is made for that kind of experience.

I found this server called CaveMC and it is kind of insane. The whole overworld is just one giant underground cave world. There is no normal surface at all. Everywhere you go is caves biomes resources and hidden places.
It plays like enhanced vanilla with semi anarchy rules so it feels really dangerous. Survival is super brutal and only the players that are smart and careful last very long. People explore fight and try to control the best spots.
This is Season 2 so it is a fresh start and they added a lot of new stuff. The biggest thing is a new Wasteland dimension. It is not just a biome. It is a whole new place with its own special gear and huge mega structures that you can explore.
In the Wasteland there is a unique currency and its own economy so players can trade and build power in different ways. There is also a new spawn that matches the theme and a custom generated map that looks really cool and has special features.
If you like tough survival semi anarchy and living only underground this server feels perfect. It is all about exploring dark caves fighting for loot and trying to survive longer than everyone else.
