This is a community centered SMP that feels a lot like a Hermit style server. It is made by players and it is built around people working together on big builds and shared projects.
The server uses a diamond based economy with a shopping district. There are also public builds and community projects you can join.
A lot of players use proximity chat so it feels more social when you run into people. There are homes plus some cosmetic and quality of life plugins that get added from community requests and polls.
They try to keep the vanilla experience while still letting the server grow if the community wants it. It is Minecraft 1.21.11 on Java only. It is whitelisted and it is 18 plus only.

Spells Gears n Bells is a modded roleplay server with a magitech steampunk vibe and lots of fantasy adventure. It uses mods like Create and Iron Spells plus Incendium Stellarity and Dungeons and Taverns.
You make your own character and step into the land of Mystodia. You explore a strange new plane learn about the rifts meet other survivors and help shape what happens next. The server really wants people to write stories together and build a shared world.

Players claim a plot and build their own medieval place like cottages taverns forges market stalls or towers. The server pushes community play with weekly rotating roles like mayor blacksmith tavern keeper or trader.

ArcticMC SMP is a chill survival server that just did a full map reset so everyone can jump in from day one.
It runs Towny and Factions so you can build a town make allies or fight over land. PVP matters here but they use an Honor System and it is explained in their rules.
You can level up with McMMO as you play and unlock abilities as your skills grow. The server also has custom items with recipes and even furniture you can sit on and they plan a per chunk limit to help with lag.

Frostbound is a cozy Minecraft community that wants more builders to help expand the server and decorate the world.
