Shacknews SMP is an old school SMP server formed around the Shacknews gaming community. We’re looking for other like minded adults to join our server! We started running a Minecraft server back in the Alpha versions in 2010. Our server is PvE focused mostly on building projects/bases, redstone farms and just general playing Minecraft with friends, we’re all pretty laid back here. Typically we don’t do server economies or shopping districts, usually shared farms in community areas, ect… Pretty much a vanilla+ server here, no P2W, server boosting, ranks or anything like that on this server. Our server is currently running a custom-made Fabric Modpack on Java v1.21.1.

We already had a few servers, but they mostly went offline due to time, but since we now have all the time, we are trying again with our new server. When you join our server you can jump right into action with building. When you spawn you’re already part of the city Plymouth! Join a job and start making money to buy yourself a plot in a town, or start your own town! You can also spend your money in the Player Mall at spawn to buy other player’s items or purchase a Mall Plot and sell your own items! If you buy a plot, everything is protected in that plot. No one else can build or destroy! However, be careful in the wilderness, PVP is on everywhere except in the towns and there is no block protection there either! Build and play at your own risk! Our server runs bukkit and as i said it is a PVP/RAID server so griefing is allowed, but if you claim your base then they wont be able to grief it.
