    ArdynFall SMP is a community survival server that sticks close to vanilla Minecraft on Java 1.21.11. It has some quality of life tweaks meant to keep the game feeling normal and fair with no pay to win stuff.

    The world has been running for about a year and it is still growing. There are no planned resets so you can build big projects and know they will stay.

    The server aims for strong uptime and it does regular backups. Staff are around from different parts of the world so someone can usually help if something goes wrong.

    Players can run a diamond based economy with shops in a shopping district. There are optional events each month like hide and seek geocaching and base tours.

    There is also a separate resource world through a custom portal so the main world does not get destroyed by mining. If you want to test builds there is an optional creative server with WorldEdit and Litematica pasting. Proximity voice chat is supported if you want to talk in game.

    I found NerdNu and it feels like a medium sized server that really cares about community and mostly vanilla gameplay. It is for players who miss that old Minecraft feeling where people actually know each other.

    The PvE server is updated to 1.21.10 and it is survival building without PvP so you only worry about mobs. People work together on towns and big city builds and the PvE map reset on September 19th. They also do games nights with different player hosts like spleef thimble and ice boat races on Fridays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 1pm US Eastern time.

    There is also a Creative server on 1.21.10 with open world building and a mix of natural terrain and world painted areas. You can protect your builds and WorldEdit is free to use. Creative has community events too like spleef and speed build on alternating Saturdays and their current map revision started on June 22 2024.

    Their snapshot server is currently closed because of recent updates and they will announce when it comes back.

    Zest Creative is a city build server with a long running tight knit community. The world uses a very large custom terrain map and people build together all the time.

    You can do optional geopolitical roleplay with lore and worldbuilding. If you want in you can mark a claim and staff will put it on the map so your story can start. You can also mark towns and settlements too. If roleplay is not your thing you can just build and chill since it is totally optional.

    There is a short application before you can join and it is mainly to filter out griefers. After that you can get access to world edit and other helpful commands. The rules are laid back and there are events once in a while. Staff and players are often online to chat and help critique builds and team up on big projects.

    Zest Creative is a creative city build server with a long running tight knit community. People join to build big projects together on a very large custom terrain world.

    There is optional geopolitical roleplay with lore and worldbuilding. You can mark a claim and it gets shown on the live map so you can start your own story. If you are not into roleplay you can just build your city and ignore it.

    To get in you join the Discord first and do a short application. It is mainly there to keep griefers out. After that you can earn access to WorldEdit and other helpful commands.

    The rules are pretty laid back and there are events sometimes. Staff and players are often online to chat and give build feedback and team up on projects.

    NerdNu Vanilla Community PvE and Creative

    NerdNu is a medium sized Minecraft community server that tries to keep the mostly vanilla feel while still having that old school multiplayer belonging vibe. The PvE server has been updated to 1.21.10 and it is survival mode with no player fighting so you only worry about mobs. People work together a lot and build towns and cities. The PvE map reset on September 19th so it is a good time to jump in.

    They also run community games nights on Fridays at 7:30pm eastern and Saturdays at 1pm eastern. Different towns or players host stuff like spleef thimble and ice boat races. There is also an event called Alphabet Soup where you unscramble Minecraft item names then race to gather or craft them.

    There is a Creative server too with mostly open world building and a mix of normal generated terrain and world painted areas. You can protect your builds and WorldEdit is free to use. Creative has community events like Spleef and Speed Build on alternating Saturdays. Creative is running on 1.21.8 and started Revision 38 on June 22 2024.     NerdNu is a medium sized server that feels very old school and chill. It has a strong community and mostly vanilla gameplay so it feels like classic Minecraft with friends.

    The PvE server is survival with no PvP so you only have to worry about mobs. Players team up to build towns and cities and the PvE map reset on September 19 so the world is still pretty fresh. There are regular games on Fridays and Saturdays like spleef thimble and ice boat races plus special events like Daisy's Color Classroom where you match hexcodes to armor dyes.

    There is also a Creative server that uses a mix of natural and custom terrain. You can protect your builds and you get WorldEdit for free if you want it. The creative world started a new revision on June 22 2024 and they run community minigames like Spleef and Speed Build on alternating Saturdays.

    They even have a Snapshot server that is separate from the other two. It does not run official revisions and is there for people who want to mess around with the latest snapshot style gameplay.

    Overall NerdNu is about relaxed mostly vanilla play and doing projects with a community that has been around for a long time.

    They also brought back a Snapshot server that is different from the other two and it does not have official revisions. It is more loose and experimental.

    Overall the vibe is players who like mostly vanilla gameplay and want that feeling of belonging from early Minecraft multiplayer. If you want chill building and regular community events this place is pretty good.

    This server is called Creative Central and it is built around almost ten years of lore and worldbuilding. It feels like everything is part of a big story and the whole network is still a work in progress so it keeps growing over time.

    There are two main game modes. The first one is Creative Plots. Here you get a huge 512×512 plot and you can use WorldEdit for free with barely any limits. You also get headdatabase and armorstand tools so you can decorate builds and make cool details without paying extra. It is very focused on building and creativity.

    The second mode is Creative Central Earth which is a Towny server on a 1 to 500 scale map of Earth. You can make towns and claim land and then use the economy system to keep your town going. You can form nations with friends or new people to control more territory. PvP exists but it is not the main focus so you can play and progress without always worrying about being killed.

    The server is strictly not pay to win. There is only a sponsor rank that costs money and it just gives cosmetic perks and shows support for the server. The whole thing is part of a bigger project called Project Everything which is about shared worldbuilding and stories that all fit in the same canon.

    The vibe is chill and focused on building towns and worlds and on long term lore instead of rushing or grinding super hard.

    I found this server that feels really old school and super cozy. It has a PvE world a Creative world and a Snapshot server. The whole place is mostly vanilla and it is all about chill gameplay and building with other people.

    On the PvE server you play survival without any pvp. You only fight mobs and not other players. People like to team up build towns and even full cities. They reset the PvE map not that long ago so there is still room for fresh bases. There are regular game nights on Friday and Saturday with stuff like spleef thimble and ice boat races so it never feels boring.

    The Creative server is for people who just want to build. The map is a mix of natural and custom terrain. You can protect your builds and you can use WorldEdit for free if you want. They also run community events on Creative like spleef and speed build plus other minigames on some Saturdays. There is even a big group build for Christmas and winter themes where anyone can join in.

    There is also a Snapshot server which is for the newest test versions of the game. It seems like a place where you can try new Minecraft features early. Overall the server feels like a tight community where players know each other and like to hang out. If you miss that feeling of the first servers you ever played this one really tries to bring that back.

    If you want a medium sized server with mostly vanilla gameplay and a solid community where people care about events and shared projects NerdNu really fits that style.
