The Garden SMP is a Java 1.21.11 survival multiplayer server that is built around worldbuilding adventure and roleplay.
Everyone starts with 3 lives and the only way to lose them is through PvP. When you run out you become a ghost and you are past the veil. Players can bring someone back using a craftable revival book.
Some vanilla stuff is turned off to fit the roleplay like elytra and ender chests. It pushes people to build roads and ports and actually meet each other.
I also saw chest locking with trial keys plus lockpicks for breaking in. There are chest shops alcohol brewing pet taming for basically any mob and a bunch of QoL features.
When you join you wake up in the clouds then you jump down the Monolith to start. You can pick a race for your character then you wake on the docks of Isla De Viva Eterna and sail out to the mainlands to claim land or live in a town.
It sounds like a relaxed server with optional challenges no pay to win and staff that stays active with a small community.
