Waychest is a PvE survival server that feels like you start alone even though you are in one huge shared world. You can make a Journey for you and your friends and it gives you your own random spawn point and your own progress path.
As you explore you start finding special Waychests and other custom items and blocks. They are basically clues left behind that can lead you to places other players built and sometimes even to meeting them for real.
There is also a Waychest Flight thing where you craft an Elytra and it starts a flying challenge with rings. If you finish it you can end up at a Waychest made by a stranger.

MineX SMP is a survival server that is trying to feel like more than plain vanilla. It runs on version 1.21.11 and it is based in Oceania.
The world is a huge 8K by 8K custom survival map that looks made for exploring and settling down. The biomes and regions are set up to reward you for going out and finding new places.
It uses Towny so you can claim land and start towns and build protected areas with other players. You can also make nations and get into player driven economy and politics.

This server is called Waychest and it feels like a big shared adventure.
You start out like you are alone in your own private world. It is survival and it is pretty close to vanilla. You can play by yourself or with some friends in what they call a Journey. Every Journey has its own spawn spot and its own progress in the same giant world.
As you explore more you slowly find out you are not actually alone. There are special chests called Waychests and they connect different Journeys together. When you follow them you find builds and stuff left behind by other players who were here before you.
There is a flying minigame too. You can get ingredients to craft a special elytra and then you fly through rings in the world. If you do it right it leads you to another Waychest made by someone else.
The server has discovery based warps so you can fast travel but only after you actually find the warp spots first. Almost all of the non vanilla features are made just for this server.
