Waystone is a small whitelisted Java SMP on 1.21.11 that has been on the same world since 2 December 2025. There are no resets and no seasons and no economy so it feels like a place you can actually settle in.
It is hermitcraft style with towns starting to form and a community where people know each other. PvP is consent based so you will not get jumped and land claims help keep builds safe.
There are no teleport commands. You travel with waystones around the world so exploring matters and the map feels alive.
Skills level up as you play with ValhallaMMO so it happens in the background while you mine build trade and fight. There are also playtime ranks and a custom rank progression system.
The server uses custom plugins made for it like binbag to clear junk and salvage to reclaim materials. It also has SimpleVoiceChat with proximity chat and group chat.
They run weekly events and talk openly about changes. Staff actually plays on the server too. When you die your items go into a gravestone for hours so one mistake does not ruin your night. There is a live map you can view as well.
