Minemist is a small community SMP that is hosted in Sydney Australia. It is made for players who want an Oceania home and a fresh start together. The server runs on Java 1.21.11 and it opened on November 25th 2025.
The main vibe is Towny with geopolitics and war. It is not meant to be heavy griefing or nonstop PvP. People are pushed to form towns and grow little communities that can work together and argue over land and power.
There is a server story with an entity named Misty who watches what happens and shows up in different forms. The world has borders and the server has jobs a culture system progression ranks and MCMMO. You also get chest locks an auction house player warps and player vaults.
Enchanting is a big deal here since vanilla enchantments are craftable using culture tablets. There are three tablet types called Power Freedom and Balance and your culture decides what you can craft. You cannot get everything alone so trading matters.
Gear progression is slowed down since villagers do not give enchanted books. You need to craft enchantments use the enchanting table or find loot in the world. There are also custom enchantments to boost gear for combat and war.
