I found a small Minecraft event idea that takes place on a full Earth style map at a 1-9000 scale.
It is planned as a 2 to 3 hour session where players spread out across the continents and start little nations.
People can make alliances start drama and fight if it happens. It is meant to be more fun than serious and it is still just getting interest.

ATLAS V3 is a modded server that is all about going bigger than normal Minecraft. It has this space vibe where you work your way up and aim for the stars.
I saw that it includes Valkyrien Skies so people can make vehicles. It also has Create 6.08 and Mekanism with other tech mods so you can build machines and automate stuff.
There is CC Tweaked for computers and TACZ with a bunch of additions for gun combat. It also mentions war related mods plus custom planets and space mods so you can explore and fight in a more sci fi way.
