This is a free modded survival server that is running long term and feels pretty active. When I joined it already had a growing community and people actually talk and help each other.
The main world has a big city getting built and it keeps expanding. Players are making shops and running their own economy with trades and deals instead of using mod based money. It feels like players decide how the server market works.
Everyone seems really friendly and they help new players get started on their journey. You can join alone or bring a whole team of friends.
There is also a war idea for the future for people who want to fight and do big battles. If you do not want to take part you can stay safe because claims protect you from death grief and loot stealing so you are not forced into pvp.
The server uses a modpack on the latest version that they mention and the region is Oceania so it is best for players near there.

Broken Crown is a towny server that wants a more old school style. It is all about building towns and nations on a big Earth map and then deciding if you want to go to war or just chill. PVP is turned on so danger is always there but war is still your choice.
The server uses the outlaw system from towny as a kind of police thing. That means towns and nations can deal with trouble players in their own borders. It makes the world feel like it has real rules and politics that come from the players.
Right now the main features are a 30k by 15k Earth map brewery so you can make drinks a diamond based economy realistic crop growth and a populated Earth map. The owner does not monetize the server because they want that classic towny experience back where you just play without a store.
The server works for Java and Bedrock players but it does not sync your accounts between them. More features might be added before launch so it feels like an upcoming project that is still growing.
