Rave SMP is a very new Minecraft survival server so everyone starts together and no one is super ahead.
It is kind of on the anarchy side so war and chaos can happen but you can also play peaceful if you want. The world has a 15k by 15k overworld border and there is a good seed so there is a lot to explore and build in.
The server runs 24 7 on a host in Singapore. It has some plugins and one of the main ones is Simple Voice Chat so you can use proximity voice and talk to people who are near you in game. There are fun plugins and at least one or two events every month. Some events are made by admins and some can be made by players.

AvalonEarth is an earth smp server with a 1 to 500 world map so there is a lot of space to make your own nation and claim land.
The server uses Towny and is made for geopolitics style gameplay. Anyone can make a nation because you get starter money when you join. You do not have to grind and meet a bunch of player requirements just to start.
This is the second season of the server. The first season started in September and they built a strong community. Now season two is open and many new players are joining.
There are lots of conflicts and wars for players who like pvp and strategy. If you do not like fighting you can still live more peaceful and try to avoid the wars.
You can earn money mainly with jobs farming and fishing. The owner says they plan to add more ways to make money soon.

This server is called Nation States and it is a new semi vanilla world that uses the towny claiming system. When I joined it felt like the whole point was to build nations and not just random bases.
The server wants players to focus on roleplay lore and conflicts. That means people are expected to act like they are part of a real nation. You are supposed to do diplomacy trade and even war with other players.
There is something they call the spirit of the server. It is about having fun roleplay good lore and actual conflicts between groups. If you ignore that and just try to ruin the experience they will remove you to protect the server.

This server is all about survival actually meaning something. It is a hardcore SMP with only one life and it feels super intense.
If you die you are banned. There are no respawns and no second chances. Every fight and every cave trip feels scary because one mistake can end your run.
