FolksMC is a tight knit survival multiplayer server that has been running since August last year and it has a community with a lot of history.
It plays like a semi vanilla world with a few helpful plugins. You get two homes plus spawn. There are gravestones so you can find your stuff again. There is woodcutting for faster tree work. There is SimpleVC for voice chat and a sit command too.
The main style is factions so you can join a team make your own group or stay as a nomad. There are wars but they try to keep it fair by having factions negotiate the war rules first so everyone can have fun.
The community is described as accepting and diverse and they want everyone to feel welcome.
