Paragon SMP is a small vanilla Java server that uses simple voice chat and nothing else. It feels like classic Minecraft but you can actually talk to people nearby. The world is 20k by 20k so there is a ton of space to explore and build.
Keep inventory is off so dying really matters here. You have to be careful when you go mining or exploring. People can build secret bases with their teams and then go up against other groups. Griefing is allowed but it is supposed to be more about stealing and small damage not blowing everything to bits.
The end is not open yet. It will be opened later so everyone can do a big end fight together. The server is whitelisted and has 20 player slots so it stays pretty tight and not super crowded. Right now it has 2 members.
The server runs on version 1.21.11. The community is LGBTQ friendly so it feels safe and welcoming for different people. Spawn is kind of bad but that almost makes it funny and you just run off to make your own place anyway.

Earthium is a Minecraft EarthSMP where the whole world is a big 1 to 500 scale Earth map. Nothing is claimed at the start so players pick real locations and build from scratch. People make settlements that can grow into nations and every fight or build leaves a real mark on the map.
The server is all about strategy and planning not just grinding. Travel and distance matter a lot because oceans and big gaps separate empires. There are custom weapons and combat is made to reward skill and tactics. There are also vehicles like cars and boats to move faster and help with logistics.

This is a Hermitcraft style Vanilla plus SMP that is made for 18 and older players. Season 3 just started so the world is still really fresh and most of it is not explored yet. Everyone is still building first bases and starting up shops so it feels like a busy new town.
The server uses proximity voice chat and it is required so you actually talk instead of just typing. It makes the world feel alive because you hear people when you run past their base or in caves.
There is a diamond based economy so players trade and make shops and try to become rich before everything is taken. It is not pay to win and it is focused on being fair and community driven.
The gameplay is Vanilla plus with small quality of life stuff like mob heads armor stand editing invisible item frames player riding and being able to sit. There is also Bluemap so you can see the world change over time and the dragon drops elytra when the end opens so everyone can get wings.
Right now the story is that the community all started on a big mushroom island and made a safe hub there. Endergrove is an 18 plus Minecraft community for adults who just want to chill and play together with no drama. Everyone here acts like grown ups and the vibe is relaxed and friendly.
They play on a huge modpack that was built from the ground up using ideas from the players. There are over four hundred mods mixed with magic tech and exploration so there is always something new to do. This is a Minecraft reality game called Heartless that feels like a mix of Survivor and Big Brother. Seven players go into one house and they battle in different minigames. After the games they vote someone out and only one person is left as the winner.
The whole event is recorded and later edited for YouTube so it feels like a real game show. You need Minecraft Java Edition and CurseForge so you can use the modpack and you also need a decent microphone because voice is important here.
You have to be at least 18 years old to join. The event is planned for January 10 2026 at 3 PM ET and it can last more than five hours for the people who make it to the end. There is an application form you fill out if you want to be picked as a contestant.
The server looks focused on intense competition and voting and it seems really good if you like strategy and drama with a small group of players.

Sacreo SMP is a semi vanilla server where people just want to hang out and make friends. It is made for players who like simple survival and want a chill place to play.
The server supports both Java and Bedrock so you can play with more friends. It uses Geyser and Floodgate for that. There is also a simple voice chat mod for proximity chat so talking and joking around feels more natural.

This is a modded ATM8 SMP with a small but active group of players. When I joined it felt like everyone actually talks and hangs out a lot.
The server is all about building towns and shared places instead of everyone hiding in solo bases. People work on roads and infrastructure and big community builds so the world feels connected and kind of civilized.
The gameplay is focused on long term modded progression with tech and automation and exploration. It is not a quick grind and quit server. You are supposed to stick around and slowly build up your stuff with everyone.
