Crescenta is a worldbuilding Minecraft server where the world changes as players play. People make big civilizations and build history and explore new places so it feels like a huge story that never stops.
The server is on version 1.21.8 and it works on both Java and Bedrock so a lot of different players can join. There is Simple Voice Chat so people can actually talk in game which makes roleplay and big projects feel way more real.
One of the coolest things is the custom ancestry system. New players get pulled into the action fast and it is easier to make dynasties and family lines and other roleplay stuff. It makes your character feel like part of a big world instead of just some random person.
The world has custom generation that looks fresh and different so exploring is fun. They also have Bluemap so you can see the map in 3D on the web and check out builds and terrain.

The community is friendly and creative from what I saw. The server is not pay to win at all. It feels like a place where you are supposed to write your own story and really make it yours.

Sunset Retreat SMP is a seasonal vanilla plus survival server that is made for players who are 18 or older. It is based in the EU and it feels like a calm place to relax after school or work. The whole idea is to escape stress and just play Minecraft with other adults.

GOOMB SMP is a vanilla survival server on amplified terrain and it feels really packed and fun. The world was reset a few weeks ago and there is a 6k by 6k border so everyone ends up building pretty close.
Because of that people make bases near each other or together and it feels like a real community. Players already started making shops and planning different builds so it looks like this world is going to grow a lot when the border gets bigger.
The discord is super busy. People post screenshots of the crazy amplified landscapes and talk about trades and deals. Voice chats are usually full of players hanging out and talking about their plans for the world.

This server is called BareBonesMP and it has a special Hardcore Plus world with custom health. Every time you die you lose one heart and you can go all the way down to only 3 hearts. To get your hearts back you have to craft a Heart Crystal with an echo shard and a diamond block.
If you use a Heart Crystal you restore one heart and you can even go above the normal 10 hearts up to 20 hearts. These extra hearts are temporary. When you take damage the extra hearts disappear first and you will not get them back unless you use another Heart Crystal.
The Hardcore Plus world is basically vanilla. There are no teleport commands and all normal block damage is turned on like fire spread and creeper explosions. Stealing and griefing are not allowed so it is not an anarchy server.
There is also a main vanilla SMP server and the community has been around since 2019. People say it feels like a classic hermitcraft style server and it is whitelisted and close knit. There are community events every weekend and mayor elections every month.

This server is called CheesyCraft Redux and it is a semi vanilla survival world. It is made for people who just want to play survival but also try some custom features that were made only for this server.

Tinkers Tavern is an 18 plus Minecraft community that has been around for a couple years. It is meant for adults who just want low stress gaming and like survival games. It feels chill and still has room for players who like to sweat a bit.

This is a straight up vanilla style survival server where everything feels like the normal game. There are no land claims and no teleport commands so you actually have to travel and explore on your own.
The world has been running since April 1st 2019 and the overworld has never been wiped. That means there is a ton of history and old bases and stuff to find. It really feels like a forever world that people keep building on.
PvP and griefing are allowed so nothing is totally safe. You have to hide your base or defend it yourself. There are no factions or big economy systems and no special currency. It is just survival Minecraft the way the game was meant to be played.
